The Top 10 teams across the world will play in a tournament awarding Gold,Silver, and Bronze medals at the end. The tournament consists of a round robin stage and a playoff stage, ending with a gold medal game. The bottom 2 teams will get relegated to Division 1A.
PWHL Expansion Player Distribution Process Phase 1
The PWHL begins the initial phase of the Expansion Player Distribution Process. Existing teams will be protecting 3 players that are either currently contracted with them or have an expiring contract with any existing team.
2026 PWHL Entry Draft
The 2026 PWHL Entry Draft will have 6 rounds where each team will select an eligible player to get their signing rights. While there were 236 players to declare themselves as eligible for the draft only 72 will be selected.
